Vision Statement: The South Decatur Baptist Church is a Christ-centered congregation with a desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will minister to all people, leading them to a close personal relationship with Christ.

Mission Statement: The South Decatur Baptist Church will advance the spiritual development of its members and will help lead others to a personal knowledge of Christ. All of our ministries will always point the way to a saving knowledge of Christ.

Our Belief: We are a Bible believing Independent Baptist Church. We affirm our belief in one God, who exists eternally in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the creator of all things, the speaker of revelation and the author of redemption.  We believe that faith in Jesus Christ and individual repentance from sin is the only way of salvation.  We believe that the Bible was written by the direct inspiration of God; that it is truth without any mixture of error; therefore it is, and shall remain true to the end of the age. We thus believe that the Bible is the only true measure of faith and conduct in the world today. Bible Christianity is not just another religion. It is the based upon the redemption plan of the only one and true God.
